Many of us homeschool mama’s are in full on planning mode for next school year. The Hey Mama! Planner will be a great resource to me as I plan out our school year.
The best way to get a glimpse, is to peek inside. I will try and do my best to showcase the many sections of the Hey Mama! Planner.
Table of Contents
The Hey Mama! Homeschool Planner has over 200 pages of calendars, forms, lists and more all neatly bound with a sturdy cover and thick pages!
Hey Mama! Encouragement
This was a pleasant surprise and something I have never see in any other homeschool planner I’ve owned. Every few pages they included a Hey Mama letter with a short story or word of encouragement. It was so refreshing to read these throughout the planner. It reminded me how important it is that we stay encouraged throughout our homeschool year. Homeschooling is hard work and the creators of the Hey Mama! Homeschool Planner are homeschool moms just like us that understand the struggle and the need to stay encouraged!
Yearly Calendar for 2016/17 & 18
The first thing I do when planning out my homeschool year is to highlight the weeks we will be in school. We homeschool in 6 week rotations, taking a week off in between. It works wonders for student and Mama. I love the fact that the Hey Mama! Planner has three years worth of yearly calendars right in the front of the planner so that I can do just that. I’ll be transferring my weeks over from a random loose leaf calendar sheet to the neatly bound planner page ASAP!
I love using the monthly spread to sketch out special projects, assignments, fields trips, days off and more! Gotta have some colored pens!! Did you notice that the Hey Mama! Planner starts in July of 2016? Yep! you’ve got plenty of time to order one, yet you will want to read until the end because I have a special coupon code that will save you $10.
Okay! so I am very particular with how I use a weekly spread. I like it to be simple with basic blocks that I can plug in the specific subjects and days. On the right is the basic planner I use right now which only has weekly spreads. I was thrilled to see that the weekly planning spread in the Hey Mama! Planner is exactly what I need! It gives you the flexibility to sketch out your week exactly how you want!
Books Read List
I have been so bad over the years keeping track of books read. Quite honestly, I never had a simple system that worked. Having a separate sheet of paper or notebook to keep track of books was just one more thing. I love how the Hey Mama! Planner has several sheets included in the planner to keep track of books read!
Curriculum Planning Sheets
These pages get some serious use when I’m in the middle of curriculum planning. I love sketching out what resources we are going to use. I had already done my curriculum planning for our current school year, but next year you won’t be seeing much white space on those pages!
