It’s no coincidence that the majority of what comes in through my email inbox is homeschool related. Although I often feel that I am drowning in emails, some weeks I’m able to quickly wade through the emails and find some gems.
Here’s what I found this week…
I LOVE The Moffat Girls blog, so its no surprise they show up in my email often. I give credit to Annie for helping Sophia begin to read using her Ready2Read printables. Her website is chock full incredible printables for PK-3rd grade. She also shares lots of great homeschool organization advice. I have purchased these (pictured above) monthly themed no prep packets before and they are great. I’m thinking about incorporating them into our day again soon!
Speaking of our day! I am in total 2nd grade planning mode, which has me re-dreaming and re-drafting our days, our schedule and our curriculum. I would not be able to do as thorough of a job without this planning pack from EdSnapShots. These Plan Your Year planning printables have everything I need, from creating start of the school year goals to drafting a daily schedule, AND she has an entire blog series that walks you through how to plan your year. You may not be in the middle of planning your school year, pick them up anyways, there FREE!
After you’ve picked up the Plan Your Year planning pack, you will want to read this blog post from Mystie Winkler of Simply Convivial. I love the ability to homeschool year around. It just works best for our family and allows much greater flexibility and time off throughout the year. Yet, if you’ve always been curious about how exactly it looks like, Mystie does a very thorough job of not only telling you how, but even showing you how she plans it!
I love this website! Think of it like groupon but for educational products. Educents host great products for even better prices. Be sure to sign up for their emails!
I was reminiscing this week as to one of my very first homeschool blog posts. Can you believe that this How To: Begin Home Preschooling series I did over 3 years ago still brings me 100+ blog visitors each week. I loved the preschooling years! So, if your in them now, first cherish them, they go by really fast. Second check out Part 1 HERE and Part 2 HERE.
Have a great weekend friends!
